The blue water, the crashing waves and the lava rock shore line are all part of the experience in landing on the island of Fernandina. Hundreds of marine iguanas lined the shoreline. Pahoehoe or ropy lava covered the ground. We enjoyed watching the Flightless Cormorants. Temperatures were in the low 70's during our late afternoon hike.
