We were hiking at Punta Suarez, Espanola Island, on December 6, 2008, when this photograph was taken. It was late in the afternoon, and we enjoyed being able to view one of the richest wildlife locations in the Galapagos. The "boulder" trail is one that we will always remember! Being close to but never intruding on the Waved Albatross' foraging, landing, and nesting areas was an exciting experience as was seeing them in flight. It was a partly cloudy afternoon with temperatures in the high 70's to low 80's.
