We had an early breakfast (0500) at Pico Bonito Lodge on February 25, 2011, before beginning a morning of birding at Lancetilla Botanical Gardens. We started by birding a side road near the entry way and saw this male Black-striped Sparrow perched in the trees up along the hillside. This location provided some of the best birding of the trip. It was a sunny morning with temperatures in the low 80's.
