We left the Hacienda San Lucas after breakfast on February 23, 2011, and drove to the Lodge at Pico Bonito. After lunch and settling into our cabin, Brad and I did some birding on the property's grounds. This Chestnut-headed Oropendola was busy eating palm fruits (thrush on left). It was a humid, overcast afternoon with intermittent heavy rain and temperatures in the upper 80's.
