After an early breakfast (0600) at Pico Bonito Lodge on Sunday, February 27, 2011, we started birding at 0700. The Loop Trail to Mermaid Falls and back was our targeted area. We hiked down to the falls and on our return trip saw and photographed this plain green female Green Honeycreeper. The female's bill is dark above and yellow below. It was a partly cloudy morning with temperatures in the 70's.
