We had an early breakfast (0530) at Pico Bonito Lodge on February 24, 2011, before beginning a morning of birding on the lodge's grounds. We birded from the observation tower and along the entrance road until lunchtime. The Ivory-billed Woodcreeper climbing up a tree in search of a meal was one of the species that we saw while birding the entrance road. It was a humid, sunny morning with temperatures in the low 80's.
