We had an early breakfast (0530) at Pico Bonito Lodge on February 24, 2011, before beginning a morning of birding on the lodge's grounds. We birded from the observation tower and along the entrance road until lunchtime. The Masked Tityra was one of the species that we saw while birding the entrance road. It was a humid, sunny morning with temperatures in the low 80's.
