After breakfast at the Hacienda San Lucas on February 20, 2011, we drove to the world-renowned Mayan archaeological site of Copán where we enjoyed both birding and a guided tour of the ruins. Brad photographed this Rufous-browed Peppershrike as it was flitting among the tree branches. Not obvious from the photograph is the bird's very stout bill, gray crown, and olive upperparts. It was a partly cloudy, humid morning with temperatures in the 80's.
