After breakfast at the Hacienda San Lucas on February 20, 2011, we drove to the world-renowned Mayan archaeological site of Copán where we enjoyed both birding and a guided tour of the ruins. We saw this Spot-breasted Oriole on the grounds of Copán. The Spot-breasted Oriole is a stunning species that has a stout bill with a decurved culmen. It was a partly cloudy, humid morning with temperatures in the 80's.
