We had an early breakfast (0530) at Pico Bonito Lodge on February 24, 2011, before beginning a morning of birding on the lodge's grounds. We birded from the observation tower and along the entrance road until lunchtime. The Wedge-billed Woodcreeper was one of the species that we saw on our way to the observation tower. The species that we did see were buried in the forest or off at great distances resulting in conditions that were not ideal for photography. It was a humid, partly cloudy morning with temperatures in the upper 70's.
