We were on the veranda at Pico Bonito Lodge on Monday evening, February 28, 2011, when we saw these White-collared Swifts. There were over 1,000 birds gathering to take roost for the night in the mountains behind the lodge. Quite a spectacular sight! It was a very humid evening with temperatures in the upper 80's.
