I took this photograph of Joanne at the Gošafoss (waterfall of the gods) on the morning of August 10, 2010. This was our first stop during a busy day of site seeing near Akureyri. Gošafoss is one of the most spectacular waterfalls in Iceland. It is located in the Mżvatn district of North-Central Iceland at the beginning of the Sprengisandur highland road. Water from the 180 km long Skjįlfandafljót River falls from a height of 12 meters over a width of 30 meters. It was an overcast morning with temperatures around 7° C. and intermittent rain.
