Late in the afternoon of Thursday, August 12, 2010, we were back in the city of Reykjavik after a wonderful day filled with site-seeing. We stopped at the Reykjavik Lutheran Church, the Hallgrimskirkja, a focal point in the city. In front of this building is a statue of Leifr Eiricsson. Brad photographed the base of the statue, a gift from the United States in 1930. Approximately 90% of Icelanders are Lutherans.
