After visiting Geysir Park during the afternoon of Thursday, August 12, 2010, we drove to the Pingevellir (Žingvellir) Rift Valley that marks the crest of the Mid-Atlantic Ridge and on into Žingvellir National Park near the peninsula of Reykjanes and the Hengill volcanic area. This is a photograph of a waterfall and some of the topography that we saw in the area.
