Brad took this photograph of a Common Loon swimming in Rockport harbor in Rockport, Texas. We were on the Wharf Cat and heading out to look for Whooping Cranes. It was a partly cloudy day with temperatures in the upper 30's to low 40's and light wind conditions. The high winds of the previous day drove many species of aquatic birds closer into the harbor/intercoastal area providing those on board good looks.
