We were hiking in the Pyrennes near Canfranc, a municipality in the Aragón Valley of north-eastern Spain, when Brad took this photograph of a small avalanche. Even though small, the avalanche produced a rushing of snow down the moutain with an accompanying boom. Temperatures were in the high 50's to low 60's on this partly cloudy afternoon.
