On the morning of April 30, 2009, we took a pre-breakfast walk in the area of our hotel (very quaint, lovely vineyards, beautiful scenery and good food). We had spent the previous night at this rural hotel, Entre Viñas (Finca El Regegado) located in the interior of the province of Valencia between the terminus of de Caudete de las Fuentes y Venta del Moro. The hike was productive (bird-wise) with good views of the Crested Tit. This species sports a triangular crest and is the only European passerine other than a Waxwing to do so. It was a clear, crisp, sunny morning with temperatures in the 40's.
