On May 1, 2009, we birded the Ebro Delta and Wetlands area located south of Catalonia. This bird was one of the species that we saw on the saltpans. We had gotten spectacular views of this species in May, 2008, when we were visiting Aberdeen, Scotland. (See our Scottish Islands Cruise Photographs on this site.) It was a partly cloudy afternoon with temperatures in the 80's.
