On April 30, 2009, we were near the village of Jaraguas and stopped to bird in the Pinazarol Park area. The European Honey Buzzards were flying overhead. This species is a summer visitor to the area and winters in tropical Africa. The species is slightly larger and more long-winged than the Common Buzzard. It was an overcast morning with temperatures in the high 60's.
