On the afternoon of May 4, 2009, we were birding in the area of Sariņena, a municipality located in the province of Huesca, Aragon, Spain. The European Reed Warbler was a long distance off in the dense and tall reeds (which this species prefers). It has a flat forehead and a long, slender bill. Temperatures were in the upper 70's on this hazy afternoon.
