After breakfast on May 9, 2009, we hiked from Lecina to Betorz and saw this Firecrest peaking over a branch to look at us. The Firecrest has a black eye-stripe and a white supercilium. The side of its neck is greenish-yellow tinged with ochre. This is a small bird that is a little larger than a Goldcrest. Temperatures were in the 70's on this very humid, partly cloudy afternoon.
