After leaving Lecina on the morning of May 10th, we drove to Barcelona where members of the group would depart for their respective homes the next morning. Along the way, we stopped at an observation site, the Observatorio d'Utxesa, near Fraga. This Melodious Warbler was singing its heart out for us. Its legs are brownish (Icterine Warbler's legs are grey to blue-grey). The Melodious Warbler replaces the Icterine Warbler in SW Europe. It was a sunny afternoon with temperatures in the mid- to upper 80's.
