We woke on May 8, 2009, to warm weather and partly cloudy skies. After breakfast, we took a walk from our hotel, La Choca, through the village of Lecina and headed north towards the village of Betorz. The Common Nightingale is a member of the thrush family and is easily identified by its beautiful song. It is a bright reddish brown above with a plain, sandy-buff colored chest. Temperatures were in the low to high 70's (although, at times, it felt hotter because of the humidity) on this clear, sunny morning.
