On the morning of May 6, 2009, we birded at Arres near Puente la Reina de Jaca (Huesca, Aragon, Spain). We saw this Red Kite soaring overhead. This species often flies with its wings flexed, and a very distinct light window is visible on the underside of each wing. Its forked tail is a pale rufous when viewed from above. It was a clear, sunny morning with temperatures in the 70's.
