We spent the night of April 29, 2009, in the heart of Don Quixote country at an isolated farm or finca amidst a lovely vineyard. The hotel, Hotel Rural Entrevinas, was recently renovated. Before breakfast on April 30, we birded the grounds surrounding our hotel. We got excellent looks at the Sardinian Warbler. This is a compact bird with a rather large head. It has a white throat in all plumages and a red-brown eye-ring. The corners of its tail feathers are white. Temperatures were in the 40's with sunny skies during our pre-breakfast hike.
