We spent the night of July 28, 2010, in Geilo, a mountain village halfway between Oslo and Bergen, at the Bardola Hotel. After dinner, we drove up into the mountains near Geilo to do some birding and photographed these Arctic (Black-throated) Loons swimming in a lake. Temperatures were in the upper 50's on this windy, overcast evening.
