We spent the night of July 28, 2010, in Geilo, a mountain village halfway between Oslo and Bergen, at the Bardola Hotel. After dinner, we drove up into the mountains near Geilo to do some birding and photographed this juvenile Blue Throat as it perched momentarily on a rock. Temperatures were in the upper 50's on this windy, overcast evening.
