Vøringfoss Waterfall (waterfall on right) is located approximately 17 km from Eidfjord. This 182 m waterfall is on the Hardangervidda plateau and plummets into a pool of water in the canyon below along with several other equally high waterfalls (see falls on left in our photo). The red building at the top of the waterfall is a hotel. There are paths that one can climb to get different views of the waterfalls, however, a paved roadway is safer and takes provides a good viewpoint. Temperatures were in the upper 40's to low 50's on this partly cloudy to cloudy afternoon with intermittent rain.
