After driving from Eidfjord through Brimnes to catch a ferry across Kinsarvik fjord at Kinsarvik on Friday, July 30, 2010, we stopped for lunch at the Best Western Kinsarvik Fjord Hotel. After lunch we spent time visiting the local park, medieval church/graveyard, and dock area to do some birding. This is a photograph of a Spotted Flycatcher perched in a tree near the graveyard. This species has short, black legs, with streaked breast, sides of forehead, forecrown, and throat. Temperatures were in the mid-70's on this cloudy afternoon with intermittent rain.
