Before lunch on Wednesday, July 28, 2010, we descended the Stalheimsklevia. This is the name given to a 1.5-km-long stretch of road that winds its way down the mountainside from the top at Stalheim to the bottom at Nærøydalen Valley. The Stalheimsklevia is one of the steepest roads in northern Europe. It presented our bus driver with 13 narrow, hairpin bends in the road. This is a close up photograph of one of Norway's landmark peaks that one sees when traversing the Stalheimsklevia. Temperatures were the low 70's with partly cloudy skies.
