This picture was taken on the Jones Creek Trail in Peach Point Wildlife Management Area (UTC134) in Jones Creek, Texas. We caught the Barred Owl just after it had flown in and landed in a nearby tree. He stayed around for several photographs, but flew off when we got too close. Temperatures were in the 90's with hot and humid conditions on a partly cloudy day.
