This picture was taken at Allan William's home in Pharr, Texas. It was a hot, humid, and windy afternoon with temperatures in the mid-80's. Allan had set up a nesting box made from drilling holes in an old palm tree and was successful in attracting this nester. We'd seen another Eastern Screech Owl at the DeWin's. Our photographs did not come out as nice as this one.
