After having a picnic lunch along the Bayano River, we headed back to Canopy Tower. A short distance from the river, we stopped at a local store to make a pit stop. We photographed this American Kestrel (Columbian Race) perched atop a telephone pole. It was a sunny afternoon with temperatures in the mid- to high 90's.
