After breakfast on December 28, 2009, we birded Semaphore Hill, the one mile road connecting Canopy Tower with the main highway. Temperatures were in the low 80's on this partly cloudy, humid morning. We photographed this Broad-billed Motmot as it perched in a tree near the road. The Broad-billed Motmot is smaller than the Rufous Motmot and has a larger chest spot, green belly, blue chin, and a flat, broad bill.
