We were hiking near Canopy Lodge during our first afternoon there when we saw this Three-toed Sloth all curled up in a tree. The sloth is the world's slowest mammal, so sedentary that algae grows on its furry coat. The algae imparts a greenish tinge to the sloth helping to camouflage it.
