During the second week of our trip to Panama, we stayed at Canopy Tower. On December 30, 2009, we were visiting the Discovery Center in Soberania National Park when Brad photographed this White-nosed Coati, Nasua narica. The Coati is a raccoon-like carnivore whose body is 1.5 to 2 feet long. It has a long, thin, ringed tail which the Coati holds upright when walking. Males and females are similar, but the male is larger.
