We birded in Bosque Nuboso along the Sendero Path during the morning of December 26, 2009. This rainforest is located in the Cerro Gaital area. The plant shown in this photograph is a member of the Gesneracia family, and the red wisps along the edges of the leaves are thought to attract hummingbirds (mainly Hermits) to the plant's flowers.
