During the morning of December 31, 2009, we birded along Achiote Road near Panama's Atlantic coast. This area is one of central Panama's premier birding locations. Temperatures were already in the mid-80's on this clear day with high humidity. This is a photograph of a female Fulvous-vented Euphonia showing the bird's rufous forecrown and yellowish-olive color.
