After spending an enjoyable Christmas Day birding and spending time at a beach house on the Pacific Ocean, we started the return drive to El Valle's Canopy Lodge. We drove back up into the mountains and stopped at El Valle Chiquito to try and pick up additional species. The Gray Hawk was perched in a tree and allowed us to get fairly close. Temperatures were in the mid-80's on this sunny afternoon.
