After birding in the Parque Natural Metropolitano (Metropolitan Park) during the morning of January 2, 2010, we drove to Parque Municipal Summit to look at the Harpy Eagle before heading back to Canopy Tower for lunch. Temperatures were in the low 90's on this partly cloudy, humid afternoon. The photograph shows the Harpy Eagle (caged) that we saw. This is the second time that we have seen a Harpy Eagle. The first time was at the Belize City Zoo. It would be a thrill to see one in the wild.
