January 2, 2010, was the last full day of birding that we had at Canopy Tower. We left the Tower early in the morning to head to the Parque Natural Metropolitano (Metropolitan Park). Temperatures were in the low 80's on this partly cloudy, humid morning. This is a photograph of a Rufous-breasted Wren showing the bird's streaked throat and sides of its head along with a bright rufous breast and unbarred wings. The tail is grayish brown and is barred with black.
