After lunch on December 23, 2009, we continued to watch birds while sitting on the porch at El Valle's Canopy Lodge in El Valle de Antón. Brad photographed this Rufous-tailed Hummingbird sitting on its nest. If we didn't see the bird fly into its nesting area, we probably would never have noticed it (right in front of our noses!). Temperatures were in the upper 70's on this partly cloudy afternoon.
