Early in the afternoon on December 31, 2009, we finished up birding in Parque Nacional San Lorenzo (located on the occidental bank of the Panama Canal) and drove to the city of Colon. We took the Panama Canal Railroad back to the main station near Panama City. Brad took this photograph of a Snail Kite from the observation car on the train.
