After lunch and a brief siesta on December 30, 2009, we headed to the Discovery Center to pick up some additional species. The Panama Rainforest Discovery Center is located on Pipeline Road and borders Soberania National Park (40 minutes from Panama City). The main draw for us was the 40-meter observation tower and the hummingbirds at the Visitor Center. We photographed the White-necked Jacobin in flight at the Visitor Center. It was a sunny afternoon with temperatures in the upper 90's and very hot, humid conditions.
