This is a photograph of White Hawk that we took during our first afternoon at El Valle's Canopy Lodge. We had hiked up the road between the lodge and a zip line area to look for Mottled Owls. Unfortunately, with all the zip line activity, the owls were not on their usual perch. On our return trip, we spotted this White Hawk perched in a tree in the hills surrounding the lodge. Temperatures were in the upper 70's on this partly cloudy evening.
