After breakfast on January 1, 2010, we drove to Plantation Road to bird. Near the entrance to the trail we spotted Yellow-backed Oriole parents busily taking care of their young. This is a photograph of both parents solicitously attending to their young inside the nest which was attached to the underside of a palm leaf. Even though the construction of the nest looked flimsy, it successfully held both parents and young. Temperatures were in high 70's to low 80's on this sunny, hot and humid morning.
