Brad and I spent time on the morning of December 23, 2009, enjoying the views of the Panama Canal from our balcony at the Country Inn and Suites. From our vantage point, we could watch the ship traffic on the Canal and the vehicular traffic crossing the Puente de las Americas. This Yellow-crowned Amazon was perched in a nearby tree. This species is sought after as a cage bird because of its excellent talking capabilities. Temperatures were in the mid-80's on this partly cloudy and humid morning.
