Early (and I mean early....0430) on the morning of December 29, 2009, we left Canopy Tower for a two hour drive to the Bayano Lowlands which are east of Panama City. Temperatures were in the upper 70's on this sunny morning. Both birds flew overhead, first in one direction then in the other. We were able to get a photograph of them heading in each direction. The forecrown is yellow in this species.
