Early in the evening on December 28, 2009, we finished up our busy day of birding by walking along Camino del Oleoducto (Pipeline Road). We photographed the Yellow-headed Caracara as it stood in the middle of the road. This species has a buffy head and underparts with a black eye-streak. Temperatures were in the upper 70's on this cloudy evening.
