We were visiting Aransas Pass National Wildlife Refuge (CTC037) near Austwell, Texas, when Brad photographed this Brown Pelican as it flew by us. It was an overcast day with intermittent rain and temperatures in the mid-30's to low 40's and very high wind conditions (the afternoon turned icy cold and very windy making birding difficult).
